After a fun celebration, Robbie returns to his home. There, the author acquaints readers with Lokamp's neighbors, who, by the will of fate, ended up here. This is the Hasse married couple, constantly quarreling over finances, the applicant Georg Blok, who is making every effort to enter, although he suffers from a lack of money, as well as Count Orlov, who is tormented by memories of life in Russia.
